Greer, SC Location – Embroidery Designer

Role and Responsibilities
Embroidery Designer is responsible for all activity in designing and submitting designs to the embroidery machines, but not limited to:

  • Creating all designs according to order forms and send to appropriate machines
  • Ensure that all orders in the respective production area are embellished correctly on time and in accordance with our quality standards.
  • Communicate daily problems that might keep and order from being completed
  • Ensure quality standards are maintained during production
  • Confirm orders are accurate for quantities, placement locations and garment types
  • Maintain daily production records
  • Provide ideas and suggestions for improvement of processes; participate in efficiency evaluations as needed
  • Follow preventative maintenance procedures
  • Ability to keep up with fast paced production
  • The willingness to contribute to a team atmosphere with a professional and cheerful demeanor
  • Have a great eye for detail
  • Ability to multi task
  • Prepping inventory and placing backing and/or topping as needed
  • Demonstrates proper use and placement of products in embroidery hoops to hold fabric taut
  • Selects correct product, product size, thread color, and monogram/embroidery file for production
  • Embroider name, initials, or emblems on material or garments based on order specs
  • Replacing thread and bobbins as needed
  • May repair defective embroidery or fill in blanks left by embroidery machine
  • Detect defects in stitching that indicate machine malfunction and notifies supervisor immediately
  • The ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Trimming and product bagging

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • HS Diploma

Preferred Skills

  • Computer knowledge Excel, Word and basic navigation
  • Previous embroidery machine experience
  • Graphic Design
